As a Security Officer - NYS Licensed Driver Patrol in Syracuse NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents and support staff patients and visitors with strong communication and customer service. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff patients visitors and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including reporting hazards suspicious activity and/or policy violations through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings corridors parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Control access points by monitoring entrances verifying identification and/or visitor authorization as required and documenting entries exits and deliveries per site procedures.
• Complete routine documentation such as incident reports shift logs and patrol activity records and coordinate with site leadership and/or local emergency responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
