Role Overview:
The Clinician School Based will utilize evidence-based and best practices to provide behavioral health support prevention and case management services to children and adolescents under the supervision of a licensed professional. Responsibilities include individual counseling group treatment and case management primarily in the school setting but will include clinic and community settings including client homes. The Clinician School-Based will collaborate with other providers and school administrators to coordinate support and recovery services for youth. The Clinician School-Based may provide services to adults or client families as needed as well as provide community and clinic-based services during school breaks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in supporting the mission and goals of Valley Cities including ensuring an environment that emphasizes teamwork professionalism efficiency and customer service.
  • Prioritize recovery wellness and Trauma-Informed Care in work with clients and staff.
  • Demonstrate multicultural awareness and emphasize cultural responsiveness in interactions with clients staff and the community.
  • Provide treatment services to include prevention treatment planning individual counseling group counseling and case management under supervision of a licensed professional. These services will be primarily performed in a school-based setting but will also take place in Valley Cities clinics client homes and community locations.
  • Complete school contract intakes for clients ensuring all required elements necessary school contract billing.
  • Demonstrate an ability to utilize evidence-based practices and best practices relevant to target populations including MI and SBIRT.
  • Make use of outcome measures to assess client needs and track client progress.
What Were Looking For:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in human services or education required.
  • Ability to gain an Agency Affiliated License through WA DOH required.
Experience:
  • Experience providing supportive prevention and case management services to children adolescents and families.
  • Experience working with populations exposed to trauma chronic poverty chronic health conditions homelessness and marginalization and individuals with co-occurring disorders.
Other:
  • Pass required background checks.
