Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Position Type: Full-Time Permanent
Position Overview
A leading acute care hospital in Miami Florida is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join its Respiratory Care team. The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care services to neonatal pediatric adult and critical care patients in accordance with physician orders and established clinical protocols.
This role requires strong clinical expertise critical thinking skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities
Assess treat and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
Administer oxygen therapy aerosol medications and other respiratory treatments.
Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation including invasive and non-invasive ventilators.
Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpret results.
Respond to rapid response and code blue situations as part of the emergency team.
Provide airway management including suctioning and assisting with intubation procedures.
Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and home care plans.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Ensure proper maintenance and troubleshooting of respiratory equipment.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC.
Current Florida Respiratory Therapist license.
Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelors preferred).
Current BLS certification.
ACLS and PALS certifications (preferred or required per facility policy).
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
