As a Security Officer - Defense Driver Clearance Required in San Diego CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities production areas office spaces parking areas and the perimeter with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Control access at entrances and designated checkpoints by verifying identification issuing visitor passes and directing authorized personnel and/or deliveries to the proper locations.
- Monitor alarms cameras and communications systems reporting unusual activity and escalating concerns per site procedures.
- Complete patrol logs incident reports and shift documentation with accurate details and timely notifications to supervisors and/or client contacts.
- Perform vehicle and/or pedestrian screening as directed by site policies including monitoring restricted areas and maintaining post orders compliance.
- Provide assistance with emergency procedures such as evacuations severe weather protocols and/or medical response coordination as instructed by site guidelines.
- Interact with employees contractors and visitors in a professional manner while helping to deter unauthorized access theft and/or property damage through high-visibility presence.
- Support protection of controlled information and regulated areas by following confidentiality requirements and reporting potential compliance issues through established channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security experience.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
