What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors staff and/or contractors at a government location by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and actions taken according to post orders.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter points watching for unusual activity unsecured doors and/or policy violations.
- Control access at designated points by verifying identification and/or authorization managing visitor check-in and directional assistance and reporting access issues to the appropriate authority.
- Complete required reports logs and shift briefings and communicate promptly with supervisors site contacts and/or local public agencies when assistance is needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement military and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Have an armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
