Head of Music to lead and develop a dynamic Music department
Full-time leadership role April start
Our client is seeking an inspirational and experienced Head of Music to join an established independent school in Basingstoke from April. This is a full-time leadership position ideal for a talented Music practitioner with a strong track record of academic success and extracurricular excellence.
The successful candidate will lead the strategic development of Music across KS3 & KS4 with strong KS5 provision. You will oversee curriculum planning performance opportunities ensembles and whole-school musical addition to maintaining high academic standards you will play a central role in concerts productions choirs and instrumental programmes.
The department benefits from dedicated rehearsal spaces performance facilities and access to a wide range of instruments and music technology. Leadership within the school is highly supportive and values creativity performance and professional development.

Experience and Qualifications
Qualified Teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
Strong subject knowledge in Music with experience teaching to KS5
Proven experience leading ensembles performances or departmental initiatives
Previous leadership experience or readiness to step into a Head of Department role
