Central Operations are at the heart of delivering Boots UKs ambitions. We are dedicated to building an unbeatable Boots by streamlining our operations to accelerate growth. Our goal is to create an intuitive efficient and customer-focused store experience enabling our colleagues to provide the trusted caring service our customers expect every day in every Boots store.
As the Director of Retail Operations you will report to the Central Operations Director and be accountablefor the operational platform in stores delivering market leading availability to customers and ensure a seamless flow through our shopping channels. You will be accountable for ensuring that we minimise stock loss and ensuring a strong culture of controls and governance. Additionally you will be accountable for operational cost including logistics cleaning guarding and store consumables and ensuring good procurement practices are embedded in the team.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive operational excellence across the estate.
- Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes through process change and the introduction of technology to remove unnecessary workload from stores.
- Deliver loss prevention budgets and strategies.
- Oversee capital project management.
- Ensure that appropriate controls are put in place and reviewed to ensure that operational standards set are delivered.
- Ensure safety and governance compliance throughout the organization.
- Partner with business unit teams to support their goals.
What Youll Need to Have:- Significant experience in working either in or in close proximity to stores with a deep understanding of retail store operations across our various store formats.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement and thought leadership to drive operational excellence.
- Strategic thinking skills to navigate ambiguity and manage complex competing priorities including leading multiple large-scale capital projects.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence across functions.
- An understanding of loss prevention and a proven track record in driving strategy forward.
- Resilience highly organized and a focus on outcomes as a leader.
- Experience managing significant budgets including third-party contracts and risk.
- Commitment to compliance with all relevant laws regulations and company policies.
