Job Summary
- Provide application and infrastructure support including advanced troubleshooting and vendor management.
- Configure and support both back-of-house and front-of-house applications (e.g. point of sale property management supply chain and crew management systems).
- Possess moderate knowledge of networking storage mobile and end-user devices.
- Ensure compliance with maritime cybersecurity regulations and monitor for threats.
- Offer advanced end-user and deskside support; assist in maintaining servers networks and onboard data centers.
- Coach and mentor junior staff; help build and develop effective teams.
- Manage and execute support and project tickets; monitor team performance and KPIs.
- Handle support requests via ticketing systems email and phone.
- Communicate effectively with non-IT users managers executives stakeholders and IT teams.
- Participate in management meetings as needed.
- Travel to and from ships frequently (travel >50%); eligible for 8 weeks vacation per year.
- Assist in incident resolution problem investigation change assessments and service deployments following ITIL framework.
- Liaise directly with clients for IT support and project work in diverse environments.
- Work with a range of technologies including OS servers desktops peripherals infrastructure networks and telephony.
- Utilize monitoring tools to oversee systems.
- Drive service improvements and deliver excellent customer service.
- Produce high-quality documentation and knowledge articles.
- Demonstrate strong communication collaboration and conflict-resolution skills.
- Apply service and project management experience in daily work.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- 5 years experience in the cruise industry with prior onboard crew experience.
