About the Opportunity
Star Nursing is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager ICU to lead clinical and operational functions within a critical care environment.
This is a senior-level leadership role responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care operational efficiency regulatory compliance and staff development within the Intensive Care Unit. The Nurse Manager works closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe evidence-based care across the continuum.
Position Summary
The Nurse Manager ICU provides oversight of patient care delivery systems clinical practice standards staffing models and resource management. This leader maintains a strong presence in the unit ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and drives quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of evidence-based practice models and ICU care standards
- Supervise and mentor ICU nursing staff and clinical team members
- Address and resolve patient or family concerns related to care
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare partners to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor staffing levels resource utilization equipment and medication management
- Maintain a safe clinical environment for patients and employees
- Provide clinical supervision and maintain required competencies
- Manage operational performance workflow efficiency and departmental objectives
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
- Active California RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 5 years experience in patient care delivery
- Minimum 4 years leadership experience
- Recent ICU supervisory or management experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Specialty certification in critical care or related field
- Strong background in clinical operations and performance improvement
- Experience managing complex or high-acuity ICU environments
