About the Opportunity

Star Nursing is seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager RN Labor & Delivery and Mom/Baby to provide clinical and operational leadership within a perinatal services environment.

This role is ideal for a hands-on nurse leader who values collaboration staff development and high-quality maternal-child care. The Manager will support a fast-paced clinical setting and work closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe efficient and family-centered care.

Position Summary

The Manager RN L&D and Mom/Baby oversees daily clinical and operational functions for perinatal services. This leader maintains a strong presence on the unit supports staff performance and engagement and ensures compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead mentor and support nursing and support staff in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units
Promote teamwork communication and professional development
Partner with educators and clinical leaders to support training and competency development
Monitor patient outcomes operational performance and regulatory compliance
Implement initiatives to improve patient safety experience and throughput
Collaborate with senior leadership to support departmental and organizational goals

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Nursing required; Masters preferred
Active California RN license
NRP certification required
Minimum two years acute-care nursing experience (perinatal preferred)
Minimum one year leadership or supervisory experience
Strong communication coaching and team leadership skills

Preferred Experience

Leadership experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
Experience in unionized or structured workforce environments
Experience supporting high-volume perinatal programs
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality improvement processes
Prior bedside experience as a Labor & Delivery RN
