Investment Management Associate Attorney

About the Role:

Our Investment Management Group is seeking a mid-level associate (3 6 years of experience) to join a highly regarded and growing practice.

This role offers the opportunity to work with premier asset managers registered investment advisers and investment companies across a broad spectrum of regulatory and transactional matters. You will advise clients on the structuring registration governance and compliance of investment vehicles and advisory platforms including registered alternative asset funds and other SEC-registered products.

You will be deeply involved in sophisticated regulatory analysis client counseling and document drafting with meaningful client interaction and increasing responsibility as your experience grows.

Our Investment Management Practice:

Our Investment Management team is a dynamic diverse and technically sophisticated group of attorneys serving clients across the full breadth of the investment management industry.

We advise on:

  • Registered investment advisers and investment companies
  • Registered alternative asset funds and other SEC-registered products
  • Private funds and their advisers
  • Regulatory matters under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and related securities laws
  • Governance compliance frameworks exemptions product structuring and registration issues

This is a practice that combines regulatory depth with practical business insight offering associates exposure to both high-level strategy and detailed legal craftsmanship.

Who You Are:

  • 3 6 years of relevant experience preferably with an Am Law Top 100 firm
  • Experience advising registered investment advisers and registered investment companies
  • Familiarity with registered alternative asset funds and other SEC-registered products
  • Experience drafting key corporate governance documents for advisers and investment companies
  • Experience counseling private fund clients and advisers on the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 securities law compliance registration exemptions governance and product structuring
  • Regulatory experience with the SECs Division of Investment Management is a plus
  • Outstanding analytical and writing skills with strong academic credentials
  • Licensed in the jurisdiction in which you practice or eligible to waive in
  • Eager to work in a collaborative fast-paced and intellectually rigorous environment
