Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex Access Control Driver in Freeport TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following access control procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification checking authorization lists issuing visitor credentials and maintaining entry logs in accordance with site requirements.
- Perform vehicle and/or package screening as required including verifying shipping and receiving documentation directing traffic flow and reporting irregularities to the appropriate contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications documenting observations and assisting with site response procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points adjacent areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and to identify security-related concerns for reporting and follow-up.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
