As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Unit in Bessemer AL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecommunications location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns support access control and visitor needs and communicate clearly with teams on site. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a tech-focused location.
• Respond to alarms incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner communicating updates to site contacts and/or dispatch as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices loading areas and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points verify identification and/or authorization manage visitor check-in and report access-related concerns per site procedures.
• Complete incident reports patrol logs and other required documentation and communicate observations during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state county and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
