Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Wilmington NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role is both armed and driving offering you the opportunity to interact with site personnel provide outstanding customer service and contribute to a secure environment. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with site protocols.
- Document and report observations incidents and any unusual activities encountered during patrols.
- Collaborate with site staff and law enforcement as needed in response to security-related situations.
- Maintain a visible presence at the location to help to deter potential security-related threats.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement military or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
