Job Description
As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Access in Abbeville SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal you will monitor entrances and exits conduct regular patrols and help to deter security-related incidents at a dynamic tech and media location. You will interact with employees and visitors providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of personnel visitors and vehicles at the location.
- Verify identification and credentials of individuals requesting access following site-specific protocols.
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner to help minimize disruptions.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Document observations incidents and activities as required by Allied Universal and client site protocols.
- Communicate professionally with clients visitors and team members to support a secure environment within the tech media and telecom setting.
- Follow all site-specific policies and procedures adapting to evolving requirements as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
