Job Description
As a Security Guard - Fee service Rover in New York NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As a Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and media location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points assist with visitor and badge processes as needed and communicate clearly with onsite teams. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting events and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout technology-focused office areas common spaces and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points interior areas and surrounding grounds for unusual conditions reporting maintenance issues hazards and policy violations to site contacts.
- Complete detailed patrol logs incident reports and daily activity reports using required systems and/or written formats following post orders and shift expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
