Job Description
As a Security Guard - Entry Screening in Indianapolis IN you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location you will help monitor access points support screening operations and complete routine patrols to help discourage security-related incidents. You will use screening tools and technology communicate clearly with team members and visitors and deliver customer service with professionalism. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen employees visitors and/or vendors for prohibited items using screening equipment and visual inspections in accordance with post orders and site requirements.
- Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification issuing visitor passes maintaining screening logs and directing personnel to appropriate processing areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including reporting concerns documenting events and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as entrances screening lanes staging areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
