About us

Dyson Global Logistics is looking for an extraordinary Logistics Operations Executive to join our team reporting directly into the Logistics Operations Manager. The Logistics Operations Executive is a key role in the Global Logistics Organisation linking upstream GSC activities both internally and externally with the respective contract manufacturing operations to the downstream Freight and Transport and Regional Logistics functional activities.

About the role

• Responsible for tactical execution of day-to-day activities that are aligned to deliver products and services to markets & owners whilst optimising the response to operational realities.

• Ensure contract manufacturing (CM) providers performance volumes and timeline goals are met by utilizing systems tools and standard operating procedures to meet KPI service performance.

• Drive a strong purchase order management and applies segmentation techniques to ensure focus on critical SKUs with CMs.

• Responsible for determining capacity utilization requirements to plan at a PO line level to a synchronized shipment plan which is provided to Freight and Transport in securing sufficient capacity and containers with 3PL partners to the ship week requirement.

• Responsible for shipped in-full and on-time performance for each PO line / order.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for service / operational failures.

• Act as the CM main point of contact in day-to-day activities.

• Responsible for shipped in-full and on-time performance for each PO line / order.

• Ensure accurate management and reporting of inventory booked for transport from the contract manufacturer at a PO line level from source.

• Support Global Logistics best-practice promotion and adopts value-add practices to constantly drive business process improvement.

• Responsible for the transactional ERP system updates that support the inter-company flow and supports the movement of goods.

Deliverables of the Role

• Ensure all contract manufactures comply with Dyson governance standards that meet visibility service and cost requirements.

• Ensure all data exchanges (EDI / ASN) information received from a contract manufacturer is on-time accurate and complete.

• Escalate any incorrect data points or missing information by identifying the root cause and works cross-functionally to ensure improvement measures are captured and put in action to resolve manual intervention.

• Ensure efficient and effective collaboration between cross functional teams and external contract manufacturing and 3pl service providers .

• Monitor global standard KPIs that measure and track CM performance working in close collaboration with Dyson Logistics Performance management to drive continuous improvement.

• Ensure alignment internally and with contract manufacturers on standards and operating procedures.

About you

• Knowledge and strong experience in logistics operations and associated regulatory requirements (including safety security and import / export compliance law).

• Strong communication presentation and negotiation skills including the ability to evaluate complex issues and solutions and the ability to articulate these in an understandable way.

• Strong working knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain with a clarity for understanding the importance and interdependencies associated with each stage of the process Plan Source Make Deliver.

• Strong working knowledge of warehouse transportation & distribution management.

• 3 years operational logistics experience in relevant industries.

• Excellent level of written and spoken English.
