Job Summary
The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily field or plant operations within oil & gas facilities (upstream midstream or downstream). The role ensures work is executed safely efficiently and in compliance with company procedures and industry standards. The Supervisor coordinates manpower equipment and materials to meet operational targets while maintaining high HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Supervision
Supervise daily operations and field activities.
Allocate tasks to technicians and operators.
Monitor work progress to ensure completion within schedule.
Ensure production and operational targets are achieved.
Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams.
2. HSE & Compliance
Enforce Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies.
Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Ensure safe work permits and risk assessments are in place.
Monitor compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Report incidents and near misses.
3. Maintenance & Equipment Oversight
Monitor equipment performance and condition.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance.
Ensure proper use of tools and machinery.
Minimize downtime through effective supervision.
4. Quality Control
Ensure work is performed according to technical specifications.
Conduct inspections and quality checks.
Verify compliance with project or operational standards.
Maintain proper documentation and records.
5. Team Leadership
Supervise guide and motivate field personnel.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Identify training needs and skill gaps.
Promote teamwork and accountability.
6. Reporting & Coordination
Prepare daily/weekly operational reports.
Communicate operational issues to management.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors when required.
Support audits and inspections.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry.
At least 2–3 years in supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of field operations and safety standards.
Experience working in upstream midstream or downstream environments.
