Job Description
As a Security Officer - Tech Access Control Driver in Melville NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at a technology office or campus location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Staff access control points by verifying identification and visitor authorization issuing temporary badges and directing employees guests vendors and/or deliveries according to site requirements.
- Monitor access control systems alarms and CCTV where assigned and document unusual activity access exceptions and/or service requests in required logs and reports.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner escalating to site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity with working environments and conditions varying by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Guard card and/or license preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
