Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Draftsman / MEP Designer responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and design documentation for water purification and wastewater treatment systems. The candidate will work closely with project managers engineers and site teams to ensure designs are efficient compliant and aligned with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawings and layouts for water purification systems including piping equipment installation and infrastructure.

• Create 2D and 3D models using CAD software (AutoCAD Revit).

• Develop and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) from preliminary stage to “Issued for Construction”.

• Monitor site activities and ensure execution matches approved shop drawings and specifications.

• Coordinate with engineers plumbers and electricians during installation and mock-up training.

• Participate in technical discussions with consultants developers and the commercial sales team regarding system design and product specifications.

• Review and revise drawings to ensure accuracy compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

• Prepare technical documentation including datasheets specifications manuals and project reports.

• Develop Line Designation Tables (Line Lists) and verify process/mechanical design conditions.

• Perform hydraulic calculations for pumps valves and piping line sizing.

• Conduct process design calculations such as equipment sizing mass balance and equipment selection.

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain technical information for system design.

• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards local building codes and regulations.

• Maintain daily progress coordination with site supervisors and project teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• MEP Engineer (Plumbing & Design) – specialization in Water & Wastewater Treatment preferred.

• Candidates with Chemical Engineering background will be given preference.

• 1–2 years of experience in AutoCAD Revit and 2D/3D modelling.

• Strong understanding of plumbing system design and piping layouts.

• Experience in designing complete plumbing systems from scratch using AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drafting is an added advantage.

• Ability to interpret technical specifications and convert them into precise drawings.

• Strong analytical problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
