Quantity Surveyor (Interior Design)
Job Accountabilities
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects including materials labor equipment and overhead costs.
- Monitor project budgets throughout the construction process identifying and addressing cost variations promptly.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source materials and subcontractors ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Implement cost control measures to minimize project cost overruns and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Evaluate design proposals to suggest cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality or functionality.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them ensuring project success.
- Maintain accurate records of all project costs contracts and changes and provide regular reports to project stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or Equivalent qualification.
- 4 year experience in Quantity Surveying or Estimation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and experience with cost estimating software is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent command of the English language (oral and written).
- Flexible working hours and ability to manage responsibilities independently.
