Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol 2 Years in New York NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a busy healthcare location you will conduct routine rounds remain highly visible and support staff patients and visitors with professional customer service. You will monitor access points assist with badge and access control processes communicate clearly and respond to incidents with calm teamwork and integrity. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures access control practices and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas such as corridors entrances waiting areas and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor CCTV and other systems when assigned document observations and report maintenance or environmental concerns such as unsecured doors lighting outages or hazards to appropriate personnel.
- Complete detailed written reports of incidents patrols and visitor interactions and assist with compliance activities such as badge checks visitor management and property control procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
