As a Security Guard - PT Unarmed Rover in New York NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet staff and visitors respond to concerns and communicate clearly while documenting observations. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff visitors and vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures policies and when appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings corridors parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas assist with visitor check-in and/or badge verification and help maintain orderly entry and exit flow in coordination with site personnel.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including requesting assistance from emergency services and/or site leadership as directed by post orders.
- Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports communicate notable events to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts and assist with security-related documentation and evidence-control processes as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
