Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Roving Patrol in San Francisco CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location you will patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns document activity and communicate clearly with the public and site staff while delivering strong customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities transit-adjacent areas and perimeter spaces to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation coordinating with on-site staff and contacting public emergency services when needed.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas verify credentials and/or authorization as required and direct visitors to appropriate locations while following post orders.
- Document patrols incidents and observations in daily activity reports and/or electronic systems and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
