Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Pedal Patrol in Philadelphia PA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location you will monitor and patrol assigned buildings and grounds conduct routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet students staff and visitors with strong customer service support access control and incident reporting and communicate clearly with your team. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to students staff and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures access control and other security-related duties and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings residence areas parking locations and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with campus officials and/or emergency services as directed.
- Monitor and report unusual activity hazards and/or maintenance concerns observed during tours and promptly communicate findings through the appropriate channels.
- Complete daily activity logs and incident reports document contacts and actions taken and assist with crowd management during classes events and/or special activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
