What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings corridors parking areas and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns for escalation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation coordinating with clinical staff and requesting additional resources as needed.
• Support access control and visitor management by monitoring entrances verifying credentials when directed by site policy and directing individuals to appropriate departments and/or check-in points.
• Complete detailed security-related documentation such as incident reports shift logs and patrol findings and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A minimum of 6 months of security experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
