As a Security Officer - Controlled Entry Desk in Florence KY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an Access Control Officer at a high-traffic retail location you will help manage entry points verify credentials greet shoppers and staff and respond to security-related concerns with calm clear communication. You will stay visible complete routine patrols document activity and support a welcoming customer experience. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests tenants and retail staff by carrying out access control procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at the retail location verify credentials as required manage visitor logs and direct deliveries and vendors to designated receiving areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation and promptly notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas corridors stairwells and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Complete required documentation such as daily activity reports incident reports and access control records and communicate pertinent updates during shift handoff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 2 years law enforcement military police and/or corrections experience.
• Have 2 years security experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Have CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.

• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
