As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Financial Site in Van Nuys CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures following site-specific policies and responding appropriately to emergencies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances exits and other sensitive areas reporting any irregularities as required by site protocols.
- Communicate with staff and visitors to provide guidance and assistance while upholding security-related standards.
- Document and report all incidents observations and activities according to Allied Universal and site procedures.
- Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times to help to deter potential threats and/or criminal activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
