Student Evaluation Proctor | Temporary In-Person

Scientific Adventures for Girls (SAfG) is seeking Student Evaluation Proctors.

Do you love working with kids and believe every girl deserves a chance to thrive in STEM Were looking for enthusiastic Student Evaluation Proctors to help us capture the voices of our TK6th grade girls across elementary schools in Richmond and Oakland and wed love for you to be part of it!

Heres the scoop: each day youll visit a different elementary school and spend quality one-on-one time with students guiding them through a short end-of-year survey. Its low-stress high-reward and a great way to connect with young learners doing incredible things.

THE GIG

This is a 3-week temporary contract running Monday April 27 Friday May 15 2026. Ideal candidates can commit to visiting 45 schools per week (3 schools minimum) making this a perfect short-term opportunity if youre looking to do meaningful work without a long-term commitment.

• Duration: 3 weeks only
• Hours: 915 hrs/week during afterschool program hours (approx. 1:305:30 PM varies by school bell schedule core work is just 33.5 hrs per school visit)
• Schedule: MondayFriday traveling to 35 schools per week
• Training: One 30-minute virtual training provided before your start date easy and quick! Scheduled a week before the start date.

STIPEND

$21/hour Paid contract position

WHAT YOULL BE DOING

Each school visit youll:

• Prep paper surveys (labeled with school name and date) and/or set up digital surveys on iPads
• Arrive 15 minutes early to get organized and ready to roll
• Escort students one at a time to a quiet space and read survey questions aloud giving each girl the time and space to reflect and respond thoughtfully
• Make sure every student completes their survey no one gets left out!
• Hand off completed surveys to the Head Teacher at the end of the session

YOURE A GREAT FIT IF YOU...

• Are available at least 3 afternoons per week for 3 weeks (4 preferred!)
• Ability to travel to various school sites. Some of our sites arent easily accessible by public transit (check out our Google Map of School Sites!)
• Are passionate about educational equity and empowering girls
• Bring high energy enthusiasm and a strong work ethic to everything you do
• Speak Spanish Thats a big plus (but not required!)
