Job Description
As a Security Officer - Package Screening in West Palm Beach FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As a Screener at a government location you will help monitor entry points screen visitors and items and support orderly access to the site. You will maintain a visible presence document activity and communicate clearly with staff and the public while responding to security-related concerns. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Operate entry screening procedures for people and belongings including access control checkpoints bag screening and directing visitors and staff to the appropriate processing areas.
- Observe for prohibited items and unusual activity during screening helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or contraband and report concerns per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with site personnel and/or responding authorities as needed.
- Complete required logs and incident reports communicate screening results and access decisions to site contacts and maintain the screening area in an orderly condition.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement military and/or security-related experience or have a college degree.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
