Job Description
As a Security Officer Flex Checkpoint Screener in Chester VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will stay visible document and report unusual activity and provide calm service-focused communication during high-traffic periods. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff visitors and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a tech location.
- Screen people bags and deliveries using approved methods and equipment following site procedures and reporting items of concern.
- Support access control by verifying identification badges and visitor authorizations issuing temporary credentials as directed and documenting entries and/or exits.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Complete required reports and logs communicate notable activity to Allied Universal and site contacts and help to deter policy violations through a consistent professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
