Allied Universal is hiring Mobile Search Supervisor to oversee a Bus Deopot located in The Bronx

  • Position Is: Full Time
  • Work Shifts Available: Overnight
  • Workdays Available: Candidates should be flexible Monday Sunday
  • Pay Rate: $22 / hour
  • Must exhibit great customer service skills will be interacting with the general public on a daily basis and interaction with client and staff

Allied Universal is hiring a Mobile Search Supervisor. The Mobile Search Supervisor will supervise and assist the Mobile Search Officer as needed while they operate and screen all incoming delivery vehicles to our customers facilities using the Vehicle Search Truck. The Mobile Search Officer ensures all vehicles and cargo are properly screened for explosives hazardous materials narcotics weapons or other contraband.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee that all aspects of the security function on the Mobile Search area are performed in a diligent manner (staffing scheduling and on-site training all Allied Universal personnel assigned to their area)
  • Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
  • Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement designated by Allied Universal
  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her area while operating the different tools and systems such as Scan Drive and X-ray machine
  • Perform other operations and related functions (e.g. payroll review and maintain incident reports assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)
  • Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision
  • Respond to client requests
  • Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
  • Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding the performance of their duties
  • Disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel
  • Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
  • Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
  • Make recommendations concerning disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • Valid drivers license if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Service in the active-duty military military reserves or National Guard
    • Service in Auxiliary Police or Police Cadets
    • Minimum of one year verifiable and successful supervisory experience in security-related industry
    • Associates degree or higher in any discipline
  • Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively clearly and accurately
  • Problem solving skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Able to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Able to compile sort and interpret data
  • Research and investigative skills; able to compile information
  • Able to mediate conflict with tact diplomacy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement security (such as Military Police Elite Military Forces combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement adult corrections or firefighter field
  • Bachelors degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
  • A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
  • Associates degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
