As a Security Guard - Armed Rover Patrol in Miami FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols at regular and random intervals throughout buildings parking areas and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access control points and restricted areas verify identification and/or authorization as required by post orders and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with site representatives and/or public law enforcement as directed by post orders.
- Complete required reports such as incident reports patrol logs and shift activity documentation and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and/or handoffs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Be able to ride a bike.
- Have a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR an associates degree OR 60 college credits OR a police academy certificate OR a corrections academy certificate.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
