The About

Our client is a global-scale Australian gold producer with operations located in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. They are seeking an experienced FIFO Occupational Health Nurse on a 4:3 roster starting as soon as possible!

The primary role of the Occupational Health Nurse is to ensure the health and wellbeing of employees and contractors through the delivery of professional medical services health promotion initiatives proactive injury management and monitoring of occupational health functions. You will provide expert advice and assistance on health and medical matters while being on call 24 hours to respond promptly to medical emergencies.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in maintaining site health standards while working within a professional and safety-driven mining environment.

The Tasks Ahead:

  • Conduct regular maintenance and servicing of safety and emergency response equipment in line with established checklists
  • Act as First Responder for injury and incident management including after-hours on-call support
  • Maintain site First Aid rooms and ambulances in a constant state of readiness
  • Develop implement and uphold safe work procedures while fostering a strong safety culture
  • Support environmentally sustainable operational practices
  • Clearly communicate updates to systems processes and procedures across site teams
  • Perform regular inspections of work areas and equipment to ensure safe operational practices
  • Participate in and facilitate incident investigations and risk assessments

About You

You are a qualified and experienced Occupational Health Nurse with FIFO mine site experience. You are confident working autonomously in remote environments calm under pressure and committed to maintaining high health and safety standards. You take pride in proactive injury management and delivering professional medical care in fast-paced operational settings.

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor of Paramedical Science or accepted equivalent such as 10 years with a State Ambulance Service including appropriate on-road pre-hospital and remote experience OR Bachelor of Science Nursing or equivalent OR Diploma in Nursing
  • Current registration with AHPRA or Enrolled Nurse qualification
  • Minimum 2 years mine site experience
  • Qualified to collect specimens for Drug of Abuse Testing
  • Advanced Life Support Level 1 and 2 desirable
  • Sound understanding of workplace injury management
  • National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to pass a DAS
  • C-Class Drivers Licence
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs
