Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Officer in Buffalo Grove IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. As an armed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations communicate clearly with site teams and provide customer-focused support to employees and visitors. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees contractors and/or visitors by following Allied Universal procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas warehouses loading docks parking areas and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or irregular conditions.
- Monitor access points gates and/or receiving areas; verify identification or visitor authorization as required; and direct visitors to the appropriate check-in process.
- Respond to incidents alarms and/or requests for assistance in a calm problem-solving manner escalating to site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
- Complete detailed reports and logs for patrols incidents and daily activity and communicate security-related information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
