Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Site Patrol in Wilmington NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Allied Universal Armed Security Officer at a government corrections location you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. This post requires an Armed Guard Card or License. Bring an agile reliable mindset a caring approach and the integrity to deliver through teamwork while supporting daily operations.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures access requirements and assigned post orders at a government location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and/or requests for assistance in a calm problem-solving manner and coordinate with on-site personnel and local responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned buildings grounds and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control entry points by checking identification and/or authorization verifying visitor logs issuing temporary credentials when directed and reporting suspicious activity.
- Complete required security-related reports such as daily activity logs incident reports and shift briefings and communicate relevant information during post transitions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Have 6 months or more of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
