Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth this Summer were looking to add a Manufacturing Data & Analytics Co-Op located in our Libertyville IL site.
Reporting to Process & Automation Engineering Team the Intern will support manufacturing data analysis OEE tracking dashboard development and SPC charting across molding and coiling operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
What a typical day looks like:
- Develop Power BI dashboards for OEE downtime scrap and cycle time
- Write SQL queries to extract production data
- Use Python for data analysis and automation scripts
- Create and maintain SPC charts (X-bar R Cpk analysis)
- Support coiler data collection integration
- Assist with predictive maintenance analytics initiatives
- Attend team meetings to support project work as needed
Student qualities were seeking for this internship assignment:
- Junior/Senior student pursuing Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Data Science Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering major
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI for dashboards
- Basic knowledge of statistics
- Understanding of manufacturing KPIs (OEE downtime scrap cycle time)
- Exposure to data collection and predictive maintenance concepts
- Previous manufacturing internship experience a plus!
Co-Op Program Requirements:
- Ability to work 40 hours/week (in person) during the co-op assignment
- Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
- 3.0 GPA
