Job Description
As a Security Officer Flex Retail Patrol Driver in Johnson City NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols across sales floors entrances and parking areas staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance support customer service needs and document observations and incidents using site systems. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with customer issues and disturbances in a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors entrances parking areas loading zones and the perimeter with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Monitor for suspicious activity potential theft indicators and policy violations then report observations and escalate concerns through established communication channels.
- Complete required reports and documentation for incidents patrols hazards and service calls and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
