Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Zone Patrol in Los Angeles CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Perform armed patrol functions on foot and/or in a vehicle including regular and random patrols of buildings parking areas and perimeter areas as assigned.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and request assistance from law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Control access at designated posts by verifying identification monitoring visitor entry and/or screening for prohibited items in accordance with post orders and local regulations.
- Complete written and/or electronic reports incident documentation and shift logs and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license as required by applicable laws.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Baton certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
