Job Description Manager /Sr. Manager HR Statutory Compliances
The HR Statutory Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that an organization complies with all applicable HR related labour laws regulations and statutory requirements. To play a crucial role in maintaining legal and ethical practices within the HR department and across the entire organization.
Key Responsibilities: Labour Law & Payroll Statutory compliances
- Monitor and Stay Updated on Labor Laws: Keep abreast of local state and federal labour laws regulations and statutory requirements that affect the organizations HR functions. Continuously update knowledge and communicate relevant changes to stakeholders.
- Compliance Evaluation:Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the organizations compliance with labour laws and regulations. Identify areas of non-compliance develop corrective actions and implement necessary changes to ensure adherence for Omega and acquired entities.
- Policy Development:Collaborate with the HR team and legal advisors to develop update and communicate HR policies procedures and practices that align with statutory requirements. Ensure policies are easily accessible and understood by employees.
- Recordkeeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to HR compliance such as licenses permits and registers. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory authorities as mandated by applicable laws.
- Compliance Training:Develop and deliver training programs to educate HR staff and employees about labour laws regulations and compliance requirements as and when needed
- Investigations and Resolutions with respect to 3rd contract labour/3rd party vendor: Conduct internal audits of contract labour service providers in collaboration with statutory partnersinvestigations into potential violations of labour laws or non-compliance issues. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve complaints disputes and grievances in accordance with legal requirements.
- Compliance Monitoring:Establish and implement systems to monitor ongoing compliance with labour laws regulations and Remittances. Regularly review HR practices policies and procedures to identify any gaps or potential risks and take appropriate action to mitigate them. Also maintaining the compliance tool and ensuring its completeness as per the timelines prescribed to update monthly quarterly half yearly and annual returns as applicable under statutory compliance.
- Statutory vendor partnership: To maintain a good working relationship with Organizations statutory vendor partners Omega and acquired entities and coordinate with them to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements under various labour laws ESI PF PT Contract Labour Minimum Wages Employment Exchange etc within the timelines.
Monitor the Tracker on Vendor invoice released and make sure Payment is processed as per the timeline.
- External Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for statutory authorities government agencies auditors and other external stakeholders regarding HR compliance matters. Respond to inquiries cooperate with investigations and represent the organization in compliance-related meetings or hearings.
- Travel Readiness: Scheduled visit to location offices with take care sample audits and meet the local authorities on need based
