Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Responder in Miami FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transit location you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with professionalism communicate clearly with riders and staff and document security-related observations. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to riders visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities platforms parking areas and surrounding exterior areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner providing scene control and requesting law enforcement and/or medical assistance as needed.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas verify identification and/or authorization when required and assist with crowd management during peak travel times and special events.
- Complete detailed incident reports daily activity logs and evidentiary documentation and communicate observations to site leadership and public agency partners per post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
