Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Locust Grove VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a hotel and resort location monitoring and patrolling assigned areas and conducting routine rounds while staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support guests and staff with clear communication professional customer service and detailed reporting. This post requires an Armed Guard Card/License and a Valid Drivers License. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to guests residents and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation notifying site contacts and/or local emergency services and documenting actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of lodging areas amenities parking lots and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification monitoring visitor check-in processes and screening for prohibited items in accordance with post orders and local requirements.
- Complete detailed security-related reports and logs monitor cameras and alarms when assigned and communicate key information to site management and/or incoming officers during shift transitions.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
