As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol - Weekends in Maury NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to location staff visitors and/or contractors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings housing areas grounds and perimeter helping to identify unusual activity unsecured areas and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalating conflicts coordinating with on-site personnel and/or law enforcement and documenting actions taken.
- Control access at designated posts by verifying identification and/or authorization directing foot and vehicle traffic and assisting with visitor processing in accordance with site procedures.
- Complete accurate reports logs and/or incident documentation and communicate observations to supervisors and on-site personnel including reporting maintenance or operational issues that may impact security-related operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
