Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Campus Patrol in Miami FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Perform armed patrol duties including regular and random patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with site representatives and/or local emergency services as needed.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification monitoring visitor and contractor activity and directing individuals according to site rules and applicable regulations.
- Complete required documentation such as incident reports shift logs and patrol activity records and communicate observations to supervisors and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a college degree.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an associates degree and/or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
