Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex Screening Associate in Indianapolis IN you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen employees visitors and/or contractors at entry points using site-approved screening methods verify credentials and help to maintain orderly access and exit flow.
- Monitor cameras alarms and/or screening equipment document unusual activity and promptly communicate concerns to site leadership per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including medical situations disturbances and/or fire-related alarms as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including docks parking areas and perimeter points reporting hazards suspicious activity and/or policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
