Job Description
As a Security Guard - Flex Armed Rover Patrol in Los Angeles CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will engage shoppers and store teams with strong customer service and clear communication respond to concerns and document observations. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to guests store teams and management by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail and mall common areas back-of-house corridors and exterior perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including disturbances medical calls alarms and reports of theft or property damage.
- Monitor access points loading areas and restricted spaces; screen for unauthorized entry; and coordinate with site contacts and law enforcement when escalation is needed.
- Prepare clear timely documentation such as incident reports daily activity logs and shift handoffs and support video review and evidence preservation when requested.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Possess a Corrections Officer License.
- Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
