As a Security Officer - Roving Unarmed Patrol in Chesapeake VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech media and/or telecom location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related concerns. You will support access control document observations respond to requests and deliver customer-focused communication. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting details and communicating with site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas such as lobbies corridors and common spaces as well as exterior perimeter checks to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas verifying authorization where required and assisting with visitor management practices such as sign-in processes and directing traffic flow.
• Complete routine reporting duties such as activity logs incident reports and pass-downs and report maintenance concerns like unsecured doors broken lighting and/or other hazards to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR Certification - preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
• Guard Card/License - preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
