Job Description
As a Armed Security Guard - Front Desk in Reno NV you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with licensing requirements post orders and applicable laws and/or regulations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
- Complete routine security-related reports and documentation such as incident reports patrol logs and access control records and/or provide clear pass-down communication to the next shift.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
