Job Description
As a Security Guard - Flex Patrol Rounds in Allentown PA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will greet shoppers and staff with strong customer service support access control and badge checks as needed and communicate clearly with team members. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting store management and/or contacting local responders as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales areas common areas stock areas as authorized and the exterior perimeter including parking lots and delivery areas.
- Monitor entrances registers and high-traffic areas for unusual activity helping to discourage theft damage and/or disruptive behavior while maintaining a professional presence.
- Document daily activities incidents and maintenance concerns in written reports and/or electronic systems and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
